So I just KNOW some of you are dying to get the recipes from my non-traditional Christmas day meals this year!

My husband and I celebrated the holidays just the two of us, and so we decided to create a meal plan that would be healthy and unique.

No turkey, no stuffing, no cranberry sauce, no pumpkin pie, no gingerbread cookies.

Instead, we made the most unique holiday meal I’ve ever had to date, and it was absolutely AMAZING!

Get excited, because each week for the next few weeks I will be posting a brand new clean eating recipe from our non-traditional Christmas menu!

First, I’d like to begin with our breakfast drink:

The Healthiest Bloody Mary

We LOVE a good Bloody Mary every once in a while, but I purposely do not drink them while I’m out at restaurants because most of the mixes contain toxic ingredients like high fructose corn syrup.

This year my husband cooked up an absolutely amazing mix totally from scratch, organic and actually quite healthy and medicinal (minus the vodka, of course!).

Here is how he created The Healthiest Bloody Mary...

What you’ll need:

*3 large organic celery stalks (plus a few more for garnish)

*2-3 fresh organic garlic cloves

*36 ounces organic pure tomato juice (can be store bought, as long as there are no additives; OR make from scratch in a Vitamix or juicer using organic tomatoes and water)

*2 tsp horseradish

*1 tsp organic yellow onion, grated

*1 organic lemon, juiced

*1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

*1/2 tsp celery salt

*1/4 tsp pink Himalayan sea salt

*1/2-1 tsp cayenne pepper

*1 ½ cups vodka (optional)

 How to:

Dice the celery, including leaves, and puree in a food processor with the garlic cloves. Process until minced. Combine all other ingredients in a separate pitcher except the vodka. Slowly add ¼ of the tomato juice mixture to the food processor while it is running, and process until thoroughly blended. Then pour the food processor contents into the pitcher with the rest of the mixture. Add the vodka and chill. Serve over ice with a stick of celery, and if you’re feeling frisky add asparagus pickle spears.

Enjoy this amazing and healthy Bloody Mary!

Stay tuned for more healthy holiday recipes in the coming weeks.
