Health is a journey. I have been working on mine diligently for over a decade, and I still learn more about health and about myself each and every day.
I felt compelled to take a break from herbs to write to you about this particular topic, because to me it is extremely important.
Do you ever feel alone on your journey? Has there ever been a time where you thought you were the “only one” going through something, whether it was physical, mental, emotional or spiritual? Have you ever been afraid to ask for help? Have you ever been confused as to where to go for help, or who to ask?
If you’ve ever felt any of these things, I can promise you, you are just like the 502,348,745,762 other people on this planet who have all gone through the exact same thing or something similar.
This past year and a half has been a pivotal one for me in regards to my health. In my adult life I have gone through two heath crises thus far, and in the past year and a half I have been experiencing my third.
Relocating has brought up not only a lot of mental, emotional and spiritual struggles, but physical ones too. And although my nutritional intake has been right on point, everything is connected and the stress of relocating has really taken its toll on my physical health.
As a natural health practitioner, I went through a time of trying to deal with it all by myself. I thought I could do it alone, and there were times I even thought I had to do it alone because I didn’t quite know where to turn for help.
Then one day I woke up really struggling and thought, I just can’t do this alone anymore. So I reached out for help to those I knew could steer me in the right direction.
This third healing crisis of mine is still in the works, but I have a wonderful team of people around me who are helping me through it. With the help of my mentor (Iridologist and Detoxification Specialist), Reiki Practitioner, Chiropractor, Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor and Naturopathic Physician, I am feeling better than I have in probably my entire life.
And the greatest news is, the more I learn as I move through this, the more knowledge I have in helping others heal moving forward. Our struggles only lead us in the direction of the next part of our journey.
So I am asking you, very politely and very lovingly, to please PLEASE do not try to do this alone. Whatever it is you are struggling with, reach out to those you feel drawn to, those you feel can help you or point you in the right direction.
There are so many people who care about you, not only personally but from a professional stand point. In fact, the more I’ve reached out to others when I need help, the more I’ve found that those people are not only willing to help, but it’s what they love to do!
This is what life is all about…community, helping others, accepting love and care, and serving the world.
Are you struggling? Reach out to someone…I promise you, people care!
