You asked, I listened!


I have been getting asked about recipes a lot lately. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, beverages…you name it, people have been asking me for healthier alternatives.


But it’s not just the healthy alternatives you are wanting. It’s the quick, busy lifestyle, running out the door types of recipes you guys are all asking for.


Good news is, I’m here to save the day! I know just what it’s like to live a fast paced lifestyle but still stay on track in the midst of all the chaos.


When I was a hair stylist, I was always in a hurry. If you’re a fellow hair dresser, I’m sure you know this to be true. We have to remain on a schedule, and when we are running late with a client, your next client is still coming at their same appointment time. So you better hustle!


Not only do I know a fast paced lifestyle from a hair stylist’s point of view, I know it from attending school for Traditional Naturopathic Medicine for three years, while maintaining a hair stylist’s lifestyle.


Each day I was either in school mode or work mode, depending on the time of day. The weekends were no more restful, as I worked Saturdays at the salon, and when I wasn’t working I attended my weekend seminars.


But somehow, some way, I still ate the healthiest I had ever eaten in my life, all while moving at the quickest pace I ever had. I had to adapt to this busy lifestyle by creating quick yet healthy recipes that fit my needs.


I have recently created this delicious, filling, extremely nutrient dense and quick meal recipe, and wanted to share it with you guys.


What you’ll need:

 *12 oz. unsweetened coconut, hemp, or almond milk (I use canned coconut milk from Trader Joe’s)

*1 serving Chocolate Vegan Shakeology

*1 frozen banana (if you don’t have any frozen, you can also use a ripe banana and add some ice cubes)

*1/3 cup frozen organic blueberries

*3-4 frozen organic strawberries

*1-2 tbsp organic dried coconut flakes, or 1 tbsp raw organic coconut butter

*1 tbsp raw shelled hemp seeds

*1 tbsp raw unsweetened almond butter

*1 scoop  Shakeology Greens Boost (click "boosts") 

*small handful organic spinach leaves

*a few ice cubes (optional)


*High speed blender, bullet, or Vitamix

 How to:

Add all ingredients to blender/bullet/Vitamix in the order listed above, for best results. Blend until creamy, smoothie-like texture. Pour into a to-go mug or glass (if drinking at home) and enjoy!

Total time: 5-7 minutes


That’s it…it’s that simple!

In this recipe you are getting a burst of energy from the green tea and maca, a nutrient dense powerhouse of greens, raw foods and superfruits, a ton of vegan protein to fill you up for longer and balance blood sugar, antioxidants from all the berries, probiotics and obviously a tasty treat.

This recipe is vegan friendly and easy on digestion. Whenever I use it I feel satisfied, energized and content for hours.

If you’re a busy parent, entrepreneur, business owner, ER nurse, student, or just plain don’t have time to make a meal, this is definitely the recipe for you.

It takes some slight pre-planning, but just enough so you actually have these items in your house. Other than that, just throw it in the blender and call it a day!

Eating healthy doesn’t have to mean sacrificing hours of your time. A few minutes and a blender is really all you need.
